Welcome to our home and the “boire bavarde” bed and breakfast.
A strange name, (boire bavarde means “chatting drink”), even if we readily sit down for a chat and a drink in the Anjou region!
However the name is not connected to that tradition
La boire bavarde, a place known to the older members of the Blaison village, was an old local pond, previously home to many a croaking frog.
But don’t worry, both the pond and the croaking frogs have disappeared today. Our recently refurbished bed and breakfast now stands in a relaxing and quiet location.
La boire bavarde is located in a natural green environment, surrounded by vineyards, windmills, dolmens and troglodytes, up on the heights of Blaison Gohier, a charming village overlooking the Loire river and holding the official title of “little town of character” (petite cité de caractère) . The area has much to offer : paths to explore on foot, by bike or on horseback, golf courses, vineyards , wine cellars , castles to visit and local gastronomy and good quality wines to taste.
We are happy to welcome you during your stay in our beautiful Anjou region and invite you to make yourself at home in our peaceful bed and breakfast.
